Optimal workWork study and job analysis
Research of work processes, by observation and analysis, to create a more effective employment implementation and a better corporate management. Part of this is the detection of influence factors and their relationship to the work process. In short this concerns the study according to the way of working. That has led for example to the invention of the wheel ever.

Method of working:

  • analysing work processes by observation and recording;
  • investigations of influence factors and their relationship to work processes;
  • search for a more efficient labour execution and a better business management;
  • use of different methodologies like spaghetti diagram, flowchart, Work sampling study (WSS) and similar.

Result:

  • cost savings,
  • improving working methods,
  • output increase.

Time studyTime study
arly defined working tasks. By dividing work processes into elements, one is able to determine a standard time needed by employees to carry out their task. These times can be used to determine the capacity, work load, costs-prices, output, etc.
AQM applies mainly the methods of Methods-Time Measurement (MTM) for analyzing the work processes (www.mtmbenelux.eu).

Method of working:

  • determine and convert standard times in capacity calculations
  • advise of working methods, work instructions and tools;
  • division of labour (takting/process balance);
  • use of appropriate methodologies like MTM-1, MTM-2, MTM-UAS, MEK, logistics, Work-Factor and/or stopwatch.

Result:

  • cost savings,
  • quality improvement,
  • inventory reduction,
  • increase in productivity, without extra workload of the employee.

Development supportDevelopment support
Cost avoidance by production orientated friendly design of products, or the determination of standard times during the product development phase.
On the one hand using ProKon © (production oriented construction). To create an assemble-friendly production, any installation activity receives a number of points. This creates a picture, where the product can be adapted constructively.
On the other hand the Assembly acts will be evaluated by use of MTM. For example: on the basis of drawings. Predetermined will be estimated what capacity is needed and how workplaces the best can be setup. Further is also visible where improvements can be made.

Method of working:

  • establishment of optimal feasibility advices;
  • supporting workplace setups;
  • use of different methodologies of the MTM-methods.

Result:

  • cost avoidance,
  • workplace design,
  • determine capacity requirements.

 EAWSErgonomic Assessment Worksheet (EAWS)
Using an extensive ergonomic assessment to get physical strain insight of the entire body, including the upper extremities. EAWS is a method which is a practical interpretation of the international standards relating to the manual handling of loads. It is an evaluation method applied in the workplace and combines all aspects of manual handling of loads. Physical load is a combination of posture, strength, weight and repetition. The result is visualised by a traffic light function.

Voltaire (1694-1778): “In one half of the life we sacrifice our health, to earn money. In the other half, we sacrifice money to regain health.”

Method of working:

  • using a standard calculation sheet all the essential time, load and ergonomic situations will be clarified;
  • put together a complete picture of work systems and processes, complemented by an ergonomic risk registration list;
  • relieve per active incriminating ergonomic workplace facilities through ergonomic adjustments;

Result:

  • prospective evaluation of process and work design (cost reduction);
  • entire load situation findings (assessment of working time load);
  • comprehensive evaluation of the physical load (forces, frequency, attitude, etc.),
  • ensuring the standardisation and normal performance (productivity),
  • by visual result display insight into the current and potential situations directly.
